Terms of sale and services (summary)
Prices and payment
- Prices are in euros, including VAT (20%). Delivery, collection or return costs, if any, are stated before the contract is concluded.
- Payment by card (including through our secure payment provider SumUp), bank transfer or any other agreed method.
- Contracts concluded at your home: under article L. 221-10 of the French Consumer Code, we may not receive any payment until seven days after the contract is concluded.
Buying a rug
- Our rugs are hand-knotted or hand-woven, mostly unique, antique or second-hand pieces, sold with a certificate of authenticity.
- Free home trial: by appointment, we can present and lay a rug in your home free of charge and with no obligation. If you decide not to buy it, we take it back at no cost.
- Payment in instalments is possible if agreed in writing before the sale. Delivery is included throughout mainland France.
- 14-day right of withdrawal for purchases made at a distance or at your home, from receipt of the rug (return costs are payable by the customer). There is no right of withdrawal for purchases made at fairs, shows or markets (article L. 224-59 of the Consumer Code).
- You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (2 years) and the guarantee against hidden defects.
Cleaning and restoration
- Every job is preceded by a free quote. When we collect your rug, we draw up a written condition report with photographs, signed by both parties. No additional work is carried out without your agreement.
- A deposit of 50% may be requested, with the balance payable on return of the rug (subject to the seven-day rule above for contracts concluded at your home).
- For contracts concluded at a distance or at your home, you have 14 days to withdraw. If you withdraw or cancel after we have collected your rug, the cost of returning it is payable by you.
- 10-year guarantee on restorations: if a restored area comes undone because of a workmanship defect, we redo it free of charge, collection and delivery included. Normal wear, accidental damage, moth attacks, unsuitable cleaning and areas that were not restored are not covered; cleaning services are not covered by this guarantee. It is in addition to your statutory rights.
Complaints and disputes
Please send any complaint by e-mail or post. Consumers may then refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator CM2C (www.cm2c.net, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris). French law applies.
