Trade-in or exchange. Looking for another rug? We can take yours in part exchange, deducting its value from your purchase, or swap it for a piece from our selection.

How it works

A clear offer, without leaving home

You have nothing to transport: we come and see the pieces at your home.

  1. Send us photos

An overall view, close-ups, dimensions and whatever you know about the piece (provenance, purchase, inheritance…).

  2. We give you an initial response

Usually within 24 to 48 hours: we let you know whether the piece interests us and give you a first indication of value.

  3. Home appointment

Free and without obligation: we examine the pieces on site and make you a firm offer.

  4. Payment and collection

If you accept, we pay you immediately and take the pieces away the same day or on a date agreed with you.

Proof of identity required. Like any professional buying second-hand goods, we are required to keep a statutory register and record the seller's identity for every purchase.

Frequently asked questions

Selling your rug to us: your questions

Is there a charge for the appointment?

No: the home appointment is free and without obligation. You are entirely free to accept our offer or not.

How does payment work?

We buy for cash: you are paid immediately, on the day of the sale, at your home. As French law requires of professionals, payment in cash is limited to €1,000 and is not permitted for gold and silver (jewellery, silverware): beyond that, we pay by bank transfer or cheque.

How do you set the purchase price?

Using the same criteria as a valuation: origin, age, fineness, materials, condition and rarity, as well as current demand for this type of piece. Our offer takes into account any cleaning or restoration work that may be needed.

Will you take my rug in part exchange if I buy another?

Yes: we can take it in part exchange, deducting its value from your purchase, or swap it for a piece from our selection. Send us photos of your rug and tell us what you are looking for.

Do you buy damaged rugs?

Sometimes: a fine antique rug can keep its value despite wear. Send us photos and we will tell you honestly where things stand.

Can I have my piece valued first?

Yes, and it is free: see our valuation service. You remain free to sell or not.

Why do you ask for proof of identity?

It is the law: every professional who buys second-hand goods keeps a register recording the seller's identity and a description of the pieces bought.

Do you travel outside Paris?

Yes, we travel throughout France by appointment, and to Switzerland from our Geneva warehouse.
